A PROFITABLE, SCALABLE BUSINESS FOR THE CLUB OWNERS
Through Roger Gracie Association's business planning, financial forecasting and ongoing management and operational support, Roger Gracie Academy West Bristol have built a shining example of what's possible. They are 480+ members, growing 20% MoM, employ five, full-time team members to help run the business, building an autonomous model for the club owners.
SUPPORTED AND INVESTED IN FROM DAY ONE
It didn't start easy. Like any business, it takes sweat (and equity) to get started. Prior to being Roger Gracie Academy West Bristol, they were the most successful Gracie Barra school in the U.K. (#1 Gracie Barra rankings in March 2022).
Both Luke and Clayton realised that in order to mature, professionalise and scale their business, they needed to move away from the brand with it's inherent constraints and level-up utilising the skills and expertise both in Jiu-Jitsu standards and business acumen to build and accomplish what has now been achieved.
"Since the day we started as a Roger Gracie Academy, we have been supported in every way possible. From building out KPI weekly management meetings to understand how our business is performing, to professionalising the presence of our brand in Bristol and wider area. The team at Roger Gracie Association are second to none."
WITH FINANCIAL FREEDOM, THEY’RE NOW GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
A culture of giving back is deeply engrained in Luke and Clayton. It's meant that as the business has grown, they have become more empowered to give back to the local community. In real terms, they're now running weekly, free-for attendee, sessions with the police to help the reabilitation of youth offenders. In addition, they support women with free self-defence classes, all in their full-time, dedicated Jiu-Jitsu premises.
